Confidentiality & inventor ownership
Your invention is yours. These are the principles we intend to hold ourselves to.
DRAFT FOR QUALIFIED LEGAL REVIEW. This text has not been approved and does not create any binding agreement, confidentiality obligation, or legal relationship.
- 1.Inventors retain ownership of their inventions unless they separately agree otherwise.
- 2.BRIP does not acquire ownership merely by evaluating an invention.
- 3.BRIP intends to offer strong contractual confidentiality and non-appropriation protections, including appropriately drafted continuing obligations.
- 4.Confidential disclosures require appropriate safeguards before they are made.
- 5.Referrals and outside disclosures require your proper authorization.
- 6.AI-assisted handling of confidential invention material requires an explicit policy and suitable safeguards.
- 7.Potential conflicts must be screened before receiving detailed confidential information.
Current status — stated plainly
No confidentiality agreement template, encrypted document vault, or security certification has yet been approved or implemented for The Forge. Until they are, please do not send us confidential invention details by any channel. Any agreement will be a separate, signed document — never a checkbox on this website.
